Assam Rifles win

Guwahati, Feb 3 : Riding on a hattrick by M. Kamei, Assam Rifles, Tezpur blanked out Assam Police Blues, Guwahati, 4-0 in its last final round league encounter of the 1st Oil India Assam State Premier League football tournament at the Nehru Stadium here today.
Th. Thoiba Singh opened the account for Assam Rifles in the 31st minute.
Two minutes later, M. Kamei scored from outside the penalty box, catching the opponent defenders and goal-keeper off-guard.
In the second half, Kamei struck twice in the 56th and 60th minutes to make it 4-0.
On the other hand, a must-win situation awaits ASEB Sports Club, Guwahati, when they meet Oil India Football Club, Duliajan, in the last match of the final round tomorrow.
ASEB had defeated Assam Police Blues 3-1 but settled for a goalless draw with Assam Rifles.
The powermen will have to win by a margin of at least four goals to lift the title.
Oil India had thumped Assam Police Blues 6-0 but lost to Assam Rifles 1-2.
