In a Goal.com exclusive, we reported that the Indian international striker was flying off to England next week to attend a trial at Coventry City.

If Chhetri succeeds at the trials and gets to play in England, he shall become only the third Indian footballer to play in the UK.

Speaking to Goal.com, Pune FC coach Stewart Hall said that if Sunil wants to succeed in England, he has to be very clever with his movement as in England the game is played at a faster rate than it is here in India.

The former academy director of Birmingham City said, “I have seen Sunil Chhetri play once. I think he is a very talented boy.

“But he is not a big lad. So to succeed in England, he has to be very clever with his movement as the game is much faster than it is here in India and is more physical too.”

Sunil Chhetri shall feature for East Bengal on Saturday against Chirag United at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata in an I-League fixture and shall then fly off to England via Delhi for his trials at Coventry City.
