NISA tops Group ‘A'

KOLKATA: North Imphal Sports Association (NISA) from Manipur emerged the surprising leader of group ‘A' table of the second division I-League after two rounds at Guwahati on Sunday. NISA downed local side Gauhati Town Club (GTC) 3-1.
Kerala-based Golden Threads got the better of Langsning Sports Club of Meghalaya by the odd goal in three.
The day's most surprising result was Shimla Youngs FC from Delhi holding Kolkata-based Southern Samity in a goalless draw.
In the lone group ‘B' game at Jamshedpur, Malabar United FC drew with Ar-Hima FC of Meghalaya 1-1.
