Liverpool targets three French players to revive their fortunes

London, Apr 19 : Liverpool's technical director Damien Comolli has targeted Lyon keeper Hugo Lloris, Paris St Germain centre-half Mamadou Sakho and Rennes midfielder Yann M''Vila with a hope that these three players will usher in a new era at Anfield.

All are French internationals and would cost Liverpool between 45 and 55 million pounds.

Comolli has earmarked enforcer M’Vila to add variety to Liverpool’s midfield, The Sun reports.

M''Vila, 20, has attracted interest from all of Europe’s big clubs. Rennes will want demand at least 18 million pounds for their most prized asset.

Liverpool has contacted Lloris, who is considered the best keeper in Europe outside of England, Spain or Italy.

He would cost around 20 million pounds, which means Liverpool would spend the entire fee they receive on Reina to replace him.

Sakho, 21, has recently signed a new three-year deal but Paris will listen to offers of around 15 million pounds if they fail to grab a Champions League spot.
