Nagaland drub N-E Veterans

Imphal, May 19 : Nagaland veterans blanked North Eastern Veteran Football Association, Imphal, 4-0 in the 11th Challenge Cup Veteran Football Association played at Mapal Kangjeibung today.
Nambol Area Veteran Football Association also registered a 4-0 victory against Ibudhou Marjing Veteran Football Association.
In the first match, Nagaland forward Senti proved to be the golden man for the day, coming up with three goals.
Further on, Nagaland player Yambemo broke the North Eastern defence cordon to shoot home a grounder.
Senti netted his second goal in the 26th minute.
With three goals in their kitty, Nagaland came up with their fourth goal when Senti scored a lofted shot into the North Eastern goalmouth, which overshot keeper Herachandra Singh in the 31st minute.
North Eastern Veteran Football Association tried to regain lost ground in the second half, but luck did not favour the team.
In another match, Nambol Area Veteran Football Association drubbed Ibudhou Marjing Veteran Football Association 4-0.
The Nambol team took an early lead in the 4th minute of play after Th. Sarat Singh scored while R.J. Thangkhup added another goal in the 18th minute.
Thangpu and T. Rihong Khang scored the third and fourth goals to collect three points.
