Soccer Star On Sex Assault Charge

Premier League footballer Marlon King has been charged with sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman in a London bar.

The 28-year-old, who is on loan to Middlesbrough from Wigan Athletic, is alleged to have sexually assaulted and punched a woman in a London nightclub.
The woman received hospital treatment for a broken nose and split lip.
King was arrested three days after an incident at the Soho Revue Bar in Brewer Street, central London, on December 7.
The striker has since returned to a police station where he was charged.
The footballer was released on bail to appear at City of Westminster magistrates court on February 25 on charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and sexual assault by touching, the Met said.
King denied the allegations in a statement issued through his solicitor, Henri Brandman.
Mr Brandman said: "I act on behalf of Marlon King in respect of the charges brought against him today.
"He categorically denies the allegations."
The Wigan Athletic forward was on loan to Hull City at the time of the alleged incident.
According to the Soho Revue Bar's website, the club - formerly the Raymond Revue Bar - closed on January 29.
