Kohima, Jan. 23 : Eight district teams and Nagaland Police have confirmed participation in the first Nagaland Inter-district Veteran Football Tournament beginning here next Thursday.
The president of the Nagaland Veterans’ Football Association, K. Kire, said the aim of creating district veteran teams and organising a tournament for veteran football players was to encourage youngsters to take to the game in real earnest.
Exhibition match: The under-14 team from the state which won the recently-concluded Subroto Cup tournament in Delhi will play against Delhi Public School, Dimapur, to celebrate Republic Day.
