Dibrugarh, Jan 10 : Hosts Oil India Football Club, Duliajan, entered the final of the 4th Oil Challenge Gold Cup football Tournament defeating Independence Day Cup champions BSF, Jalandhar 2-1 in the first semi-final at Nehru Maidan in Duliajan today.
All the three goals were netted in the first half of the match. Ph. Boy Singh of BSF drew first blood in the 16th minute.
However, the hosts came back strongly and clinched the match with a brace by mercurial striker Mintu Boro in the 38th and 42nd minutes.
The second half was a barren affair with both sides making their best efforts but failing to capitalise on a number of moves.
George Telegraph, Calcutta, will play Punjab Police in the second semi-final tomorrow.
The final will be played on Monday.
