CITY BOUND? ... Nigel de Jong
MANCHESTER CITY'S bid for Nigel de Jong has been accepted by Hamburg.
The fee for the Holland midfielder is believed to be in the region of £16million.
That is despite a clause in his contract which would allow him to leave in the summer for only £2m.
De Jong, who joined Hamburg from Ajax in 2006, will hold contract talks with City later this week.
Hamburg spokesman Joern Wolf said: "The two clubs have reached agreement.
"Now De Jong has to agree with Manchester City."
